 Montreal, Quebec, December 2nd, 2005Soconag Environmental Experts Received C$4.5M Financing from Brookfield Technology Fund Soconag Environmental Experts, Inc. announced today that it has received $4.5 million in financing from Brookfield Technology Fund (BTF), a specialist investment fund established by Brookfield Asset Management (formerly Brascan Asset Management) to invest in early stage, technology based companies with high growth potential. Soconag and its SmartSoil Energy subsidiary, which transform “problem biomass” into clean gaseous fuel, primarily through landfill-gas-to-energy initiatives, will use the funding as working capital to expand their capacity to deliver patented biomass-to-energy technology solutions to their growing customer base in Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
