CIUDAD JUAREZ

The Ciudad Juarez landfill is located an hour south of El Paso, in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. It is the second landfill-gas-to-electricity project to be built in Mexico.

The landfill has now accumulated over five million tons of waste. Its annual waste is currently 350,000 tons per year. The advantage of this project lies in the SmartSoil system technical performances, which allow producing methane gas production in a very dry climate with less than 10 inches of rain per year.
