SMARTSOIL-BIOGAS PROCESS

  1. Horizontal Wells
    The SmartSoil-Biogas process use horizontal wells specially designed to efficiently capture landfill gas. They are positioned to ensure their maximal ray of influence. Our studies have demonstrated a major positive impact on gas production when using these wells as compared to traditional vertical wells.

  2. Landfill Dashboard
    A series of detectors (Map Probe) are deployed on the site to collect the data on key variables which impact gas production, such as: biogas composition, oxygen level, temperature, moisture, etc.

    These data obtained in real time are then processed and analyzed by SmartSoil-Biogas software to provide the power station operator with dashboard indications on biogas extraction system performance, ensuring stable gas production and extraction.


  3. Artificial Intelligence
    Behind the dashboard, SmartSoil automated controls respond to the power station's methane requirements by activating valves and blowers, thus stabilizing and optimizing biogas production.

    In addition, the SmartSoil-Biogas system addresses water excess or lack within the landfill.

    These modifications are done without any human intervention, like an autopilot device.


  4. Gas Reserve Automated Management
    Thanks to a series of remote alarms (wireless), the SmartSoil system supports the gas valorization strategy by providing reports/ratios on production volumes, traceability of the exhaustion of the gas reserve and management of landfill environmental risk.

    The system SmartSoil-Biogas thus virtually manages a biogas warehouse within the waste.
